Laser i was wondering when will you get the nodes or something like that so you can make mobs spawn more. You said last week in a week or 2 but you havent mentioned it so i was wondering when?

Until we get new hardware, which we have ZERO control over, you have two choices. (I want to make it clear that we have absolutely no influence over when we get this hardware.)

Choice number one: Have low spawn rates, and low lag, relatively speaking.

Choice number two: Have high spawnrates, and loads of lag.

We cannot do both.

We already know what happens. Remember that we worked our way down from higher spawn rates because what happened, was that it was way too laggy.

When there are only like 40 people on, the lag won't be too bad. However, once we get up to 70-80 people, it'll lag like crazy with high spawn rates.

When there are only like 40 people on, the lag won't be too bad. However, once we get up to 70-80 people, it'll lag like crazy with high spawn rates.


When did this happened? And the server is crashing like crazy so and how do they create lag. Make it so they dont spawn that much just like in the middle

What do you mean when did this happen? It happened when we first started tampering with spawn rates.

I don't know why the server is crashing, but it probably has nothing to do with the spawn rates.

Mobs, players, and various other things are entities. A minecraft server has to keep track of every single entity. The more entities there are, the more it has to keep track of, and the more it lags.

And we can't control where mobs spawn. That's built into the code of the game.

Actually, I can tell the past.

I know this is a big step, but I want you to explore the memory section of your brain. I want you to pull up the memory from about a week ago, when we reset the map.

We had no mob restrictions. It lagged. A lot.

That's me telling the future, I guess.

Ok laser has allowed more mobs to spawn but now they are back to where we started. The mobs didnt cause lag because the server is still laggy. Can you change the so mobs can spawn more like yesturday.

Unless you can prove to me that mobs don't cause lag on a server (which, if you want to try and disprove things that are obviously true, you may as well start with Gravity), then I'm going to go ahead and say that mobs increase lag on a server.
